I too was rather surprised by Chinabun's reaction....Her work in the jewelry ad theme was exceptional. (as are some of her other photos) Perhaps it was only "knee jerk". As someone who reviews ads professionally, I believe all ads should be clear as to what they're selling. This will be tougher as we cant add text aside from the title and basic editing will be limiting. I will vote with the same criteria as always. If I get the message and its a good photo technically, good scores. I usually try to comment on everyone's shot and give my "professional opinion. Welcome or not. ;P

I'm not mad because he's spreading his thoughts or whatever. I just dont like it when people don't follow the description and enter whatever "they" feel, and then score higher then the person who does follow the description. And it's not like he is tweaking the description. I dont care about that. He wants to completely change it and not photograph a product. When it CLEARLY says photograph A PRODUCT!

| I was going to set up a yard sale and have all my cameras and lenses in it, ,, all priced at a dollar. Thought that might win just cos you knowwwwwwwww that would appeal to the DCP'ers!!!!!!! hahaha |

I understand what you are saying, I really do. Maybe it was just your wording that got my back up.
As Tate said, as we all do in a challenge here or there, maybe he will shoot HIS picture the way he is thinking and see how far it goes... DNMC or whatever.
I understand your feelings as far as top ten finishers who do not enter a photo as stated... and this is what brings up so many discussions here in the forum about how we should vote. Should we vote low on the people who obviously do not follow the challenge, or vote these same photos high because of the actual photographic techniques and processes?
No matter what... this is all open to each individual's interpretation and until this is changed (when someone figures out how) everyone is gonna do what they are gonna do... no matter what we say or do to the contrary.

Someone else is going to have to have my ribbon - despite spending a couple of evenings on the shot I just can't it the way I want it so I'm dropping out. Still been a really good learning curve though, so the time hasn't been wasted.

| Ok... I could NOT get it the way I want it, but I am still entering... So, I am giving up the ribbon, but I will KEEP the first ten... I will keep my star :P |
