I was taking some pics this morning and noticed a few pieces of dust and or tiny fibers in the viewfinder. Now they did not show up in the pictures and they exist with both of my lenses, so I know that it is in the body. It's really annoying because my eye keeps going to that rather than the picture. Should I take it in for a cleaning or what? How expensive do you think, I am also calling places, but am getting more machines than anything. HELP!!!!!!!!

Take your lens off and use a lens brush and gently brush the Mirror and the focusing screen (flat piece of glass above the mirror).

train your eye to look past them. From 30 years of using cameras, I've never seen them leave for long. I read this and wondered if they were in my new camera yet, and sure enough they are.

You could just shoot in clean rooms - that might help...

use a blower (like a rocket blower) and blow them out. they'll probably come back. It's possible the're up in teh prism and you won't be able to get at them, so live with them.
You can send the camera to canon for cleaning - i have no idea the cost, but with shipping both ways and all it's not gonna be cheap ($100 maybe?)

Don't use a brush (unless its a good clean sensor brush). I made the mistake of using a lens brush and there was a tiny bit of oil (possibly from my fingers?) and it made things worse. Fortunately for me, I took it to a camera store on one of my trips and they were able to blow off the schmutz so while the oil was still there I couldn't see it.
