I know I can choose a different photo to represent the collection but what if I change my mind after I have chosen a photo to represent it and now I don't want any photo there at all? Is there a way to clear it? I can't seem to find a way. Telling me to make a new collection and move all the photos (and then have to sort the order again) is not really a good solution.

You're right...I couldn't find a way to clear it either. Probably could send a note via Contact Us to get it cleared. Should be a way to do it...sounds like a 'Website Suggestion' to me. :-)

Not too hard to do. Take an image from your portfolio that you don't want any more.
Move it to the portfolio you don't want to be represented.
Make the unwanted image your representation image.
Delete the image.
Voila! blank, unrepresented portfolio.

The only way that I was able to do that was to "create" a new blank collection. Then "move selection" to the new and delete the old one. I too would suggest contacting the SC for clarification.

Thanks, that worked and was quick and easy!

Certainly a benefit of the DPC community - almost always a quick answer available! Hooray. :-)

How do you change the order in a collection?

Go to the collection you want to change the order in and choose 'sort collection'. You then can move images up or down in the list.

That seems entirely too simple. Thanks!!

Can I make a request that this thread be moved to "Tips, Tricks, and Q&A"? These are some things that should be available for everyone else to see and search for.

You can also put an image in each folder, mark it to represent the shot, then go back and hide that image so it doesn't show in up in all the others.
Kinda' fun to get a bit creative with customized folder icons:

Had to make each one as a composite, with a shot from that folder as the background.
Think that's bad? Have a look at my profile page for more late night antics...
(hint - drag over the Bio section to see how it was done)

I need a life.
LOL

I thought it was intentional...to uncover a bit more of the background subject. ;-P
