In keeping with my "Fencepost Photography" thread, which has unearthed some gorgeous photos, I propose that we have a "Roadside" or "En Route" challenge (Road kill photos punishable by low scores by those who cannot tolerate them.)
The idea would be that the shot should demonstrate a photo-op that you happened across on your way to somewhere, and the photographer in you forced you off the road to try and capture it.
Lots of potential for urban, rural and stagey shots - fun for everyone.
Anyone interested?

This would be dificult to validate, the best roadside shots wouldn't necessarily have a road in it, and then people would mark it down. |

You're right that we couldn't PROOVE them to be roadside shots, but what does it matter as long as people are inspired to stop for beauty where they find it?
Presumably people without cars have feet :-)
