Perhaps this is possible and I just haven't figured it out yet (just got my full-blown membership this week!) -

Is there a Windows "plug-in" for uploading multiple images in a single action? I know that Photobucket does this. It makes it so much easier than browse/selct/repeat. After installing the "bulk uploader" Windows recognizes PB as a choice for "Publish selected items to the Web."

A Wizard then walks you through the steps of logging in to your account, selecting the sub-album (portfolio for us), and choosing to resize automatically (3 options).

Is it possible to do this for DPC?

Put all the images you want in a .zip file and upload it. DPC decompresses it automatically.

Supported file types: JPG, PNG, and GIF, or a ZIP file containing any number of these.

Okay, brad, I'll bite. How does one make a zip file?

(No question is silly if you don't know the answer...right?)

Hey - no biting! ;)

What operating system do you have? You can select the images you want by Ctrl+left mouse click each one, (or Ctrl+A to select all in a folder for instance) then right click and send to, select compressed folder in the case of Vista. Not sure if that works with XP, and know it doesn't with W2000. They would require a zipping utility such as Winzip or a freeware file compression utilty. I use ALZip, and a download link can be found on SnapFiles freeware compression page.

Cool - learn something new every day!

Alice - here're some instructions for Windows and Mac OS X.

Hey, thanks, you guys. That's good information.

I have a (corrupt) Vista OS, but your instructions worked just fine, Brad.
This is of course, just after I had uploaded some six images the old-fashioned way.

BTW, I was being absolutely literal about that corrupt OS. After considerable correspondence with
Microsoft, and lots of increasingly complicated interim fixes,
it looks as if a Clean Install is in my future. I am not looking forward
to the exercise as my 1-T hard drive is already nearly half full.

Ouch! This makes me glad I archive everything to externals. I only keep current projects on my internal drive.

I guess we're getting OT, but you should partition it such that the OS resides on ~50GB, and the other 950GB is just a storage disk for pictures/etc. That way, you can wipe the OS anytime without losing your files.

Thanks guys! Between Brad and Smurfguy I got it done.
