I'm going to Florida in February.
Do you guys have andy tips or suggestions for photographing in Everglades National Park.

| Alligator Alley (I-75) is neat, but doesn't give you a flavor of what the Everglades are all about. Take Route 41 instead. Take the time to explore the little side roads, and quirky places like the smallest Post Office in the U.S. and the numerous road-side attractions. Very interesting area!! |

You may want to bring (or buy when you are there) mosquito repellent.

You may want to bring (or buy when you are there) mosquito repellent. |
Add sunscreen and a poncho or some type of rain gear. As we say down here, if you don't like the weather wait 10 minutes. |

check to see if there are any shuttle/rocket launches....those are pretty, but have nothing to do with the everglades

It's also 3-4 hours drive north depending on where he stays. ;) Next shuttle launch was supposed to be Valentines Day.

See this thread for now and I will post more specifics about where to go in the Everglades when I have more time (or sooner if I still can't get to sleep after another try).
In that thread,  sswalsh says that he is coming down on Feb 9-13. It looks like we might have the makings for an Everglades GTG. Touch base with me as the time for your trip approaches and let's see if we can meet up. I'll show you around the Everglades and make sure that you don't get eaten or lost. |

Hell, I tried to go to the LAST one and was denied due to a friggin' sensor malfunction! Took pictures of birds, otters, manatees, and gators instead. lol

just kidding thats creepy...ive gone a few times for it to be cancled, its kind of a big let down!
