Maybe this got lost in the other thread, or maybe nobody knows!...

I would very much like to be able to put names to the plants & flowers in this gallery. If you can help me out please leave a comment on the relevant photo.

TIA.

I'd love to help you there Bod, but my flower vocabulary only goes as far as daisies, dandilions and daffodils. Oh yeah and hooch!

Hi bod

Sorry can not help with plant names but we also saw that "tame" robin on our visit a few weeks ago.

I only took a few pics there - sad I know but I thought the humidity in the hot zone was far too high, especially with those mist sprays round every corner, to risk my new F700.

Did you get to the The Lost Gardens of Heligan?

Thanks to Anabela.
No thanks to Kiwi :P

Laurence, I didn't find it too bad in the hot zone, but there weren't many mist sprays going when I was in. Had to be careful in front of the waterfall though!

We didn't make it to Heligan so you'll have to show me what I missed : )

How are you finding the F700? Painting with Light is really nice.

Just the one *bump* ... still a few gaps to fill.
Are there no mediterranean or tropical plant specialists in the house?

Mediterranean or Tropical? I think my IDs may be a bit off then. I thought the pink ones were Azaleas and the yellow/black center daisy like flower was a black-eyed susan. You may want to ignore my comments.

I think you're right (thank you : ) ), only the indoor stuff is mediterranean or tropical, the black-eyed susan was certainly shot outside.

Bod, is this one a thistle, maybe?

Most probably, though it doesn't look like any thistle I've ever seen in the wild. Cheers!

You could try here, but be warned, there is no good way to search. Just names of flowers and pages of thumbnails.

If anyone is looking for wildflowers, this link isn't too bad.
