I was wondering if there were rules on using the same photo for different challenges. And is ti one photo per challenge or what?
Thanks in advance

The Disqualification section answers your questions.

I guess you still can if you know your intentions before taking the photo. Just snap twice.

Which is fine as long as you're entering both the Members and Open challenges with them in the same week, otherwise the photo will be shot outside of the dates ;)

Ahhhh. But can't you snap twice with a 1 week gap in between. ;)

Myqyl did this once:

Square

Windows and Doors

He won a ribbon with one, came in 25th with the other.

So this must be legal then. I didn't get the rest of the replies. It seems that there is a special lingo that I'm not getting. Thanks much for your reply

Thanks, I've read them. However, I'm seeing something else, thus my inquiry as to it's legality.

You may NOT use any photo in more than one challenge, even if cropped or edited differently.

You may enter only one photo per challenge (i.e., you can only hold one account. This is the only rule where breaking it can bring a significant penalty.)

No entry may consist of more than one image except for multiple exposures created in your camera (if it can do that) or if multiple images or compositing are specifically allowed by that particular challenge's "Extra Rules."

Everyone is talking about the "entry" picture be taken the week of the challenge. If you want you can take a picture of a fake flower for 100 entries in a row as long as you take them during the time of the challenge.

People have had there pictures "disqualified" for not taking them during the dates of the challenges.

You can only submit one entry per challenge. Of course you can sign up for multiply accounts and enter more photos, but most of us frown upon it. The more entries in a challenge the more votes you have to make for it to count and the chance that people would leave less comments.

If you want people to comment on multiple photos, why not sign up as a member? You can put pictures in your portfolio and ask people to comment
