Of course out of the context of the previous statement. But what i seem to notice is drive 20 mph slower then the people around you and your probably doing the speed limit. While youll get busted sooner or later I find driving 70 i get passed by tractor trailor like im not even moving on the beltway.
But hell some sections of the "Autobahn" aka hitlers highway as it was once known have speed limits these days. Someone from the area could correct me but i believe its 80 KM/H and its only in areas near cities or something.
There is only so many places to enjoy these cars but id have to say the airport and the track are the only two still "safe". Ill just enjoy from a distance and enjoy neevr having gone faster then 120..... oh well lol!

You'd think people would be extremely careful driving a car woth over $ 1 mil: smashy smashy
Worse thing is that the owner wasn't even at the wheel when the car was wrecked. LOL! |

Is that the UK's (polite) version of "Reckless Driving"?
Coincidentally, I was looking at that Bugatti in San Jose last May.

I was just searching for that story! It happened not far from where I live, on the Shepperton to Chertsey road and we drove past the car before a recovery truck arrived. The guy sure didn't look happy as the cops looked over the wreckage. That was one of those times when I didn't have a camera with me!!

You have got to be kidding. Back in the day, Bugatti practically defined "style". Google "classic Bugatti" for an overview. Here's the Type 57 Bugatti Atlantic:

Yeah, but first I had to survey the lot's security system and find a weakness. I came up with a plan, but am still working out some details. Basically I go to the lot disguised as a rich Arab Prince, tell them I want to test drive the car and then create a massive diversion (i.e. blow something up on the other side of the store) and when the sales guy runs over to check it out, I drive away. I know it needs a bit more refining though. |

Yep, just a bit more refining perhaps :))
Or just thump the salesman and grab the keys, more blatant and basic, but same results!! |

Maybe if you bring Godzilla into play? That ought to do it...

Or you can start your own TV car show wherein you showcase cars, and then Bugatti will send you one to drive on the show |

I agree... How can you not love some of these oldies... come on guys  Would love a Veyron but could settle for one of the classic ferrari's if I had to.....
If I ever win the lottery... I am gonna have a whack at this record. As far as I know, the Koenigsegg still holds it :-) |

However cool it would be to have your name attached to that...pretty sure it would count as felony speeding here in the US and you'd go to jail, haha. I'm sure the Koenigsegg will hold that for a while since it's hard to find a stretch of road that you can go that fast on anyway. The Koenigsegg is another absolute engineering marvel and we aren't going to go into that...

I stand corrected!
It's also cheaper: Base price is expected to be around $585,000.

FWIW, even a police helicopter couldn't keep up with that thing. |

As the referenced page says, the Bugatti never had the official record, the Top Gear guys did record the whole thing where it beat the Koenigsegg CCR (which held the record previous to the Aero), but there was no official present.
I believe the Aero is set to be beat by the Koenigsegg CCX, the new revision of the CCR. |
