I just got a DQ notification. I feel so sad. It took me long to set it up right. I did this shot for fun, to amuse others. So far I got good score and good feedback.

To my knowledge I had not done anything illegal with it. So I am crossing my fingers and hoping for the best. I believe in our administrative 'purple shirts'. Hopefully I will have their grace and approval soon.

Congratulations -- you were so creative and technically excellent that someone thinks you must have cheated.

Just submit the original frame and the editing steps you used and everything will be fine.

I agree, congratulations are in order if it appears good enough to have cheated. That is a compliment! It must be a wonderful photo.

I'am sorry to hear that you got a DQ request :(
But I feel just like the GeneralE.
Relax and hopefully it will be put to rest very quickly!

Good luck.

Calvus

P.S. I have always wanted to ask this, maybe someone already has? Are those your eyes in your signature?

Yaah, I've submited my original with detailed step by step. I've done all I can. Now it's up to the almighty site admins.

I have one question though: How many of us actually keep track of all the steps when editing our images? I usually experiment with different settings to come up with the best looking image. Many times it's very hard to remember what velues or settings I use. So I believe it's almost impossible to re-create the image exactly to the point. For example rotating an image only slightly will render some lines and points differently with different rotation values, so if I don't write down everything, there is no way, the image will look exactly the same. Especially with varied JPG compression... See my point?

I agree. Sometimes I'm experimenting with the photo and end up liking the way it comes out, but can't remember exactly all the steps it took to get it to that point.
