Does anyone have some tips on best way to photograph spiders and their webs?

Back light! I've done a couple and they were both back lit.

If you aren't afraid of spiders, and have a mist bottle handy, I've seen some incredible spider web shots with little mist droplets on them.

Rita, I think strong light and even or darkly coloured backgrounds help. Of course, dew drops or a mister spray can be useful to pick up the threads. I'm looking forward to the misty mornings ahead...

This was my best web (with spider) shot to date:

I'll try some more when the weather and sunlight gets more interesting.

Crabappl3 - I love the window shot. A real cobweb that one.

Medic- just think what the world would be like without spiders. We'd be knee-deep in wasps and flies - and at least spiders don't sting or spread disease. ;)

Here are a couple more. I quite like the shot against sky which is more unusual.

No tips (except shoot lots), just another spider shot!

Only tips I know have been mentioned.
Spray mist or early dew with a dark background.
