can we allow prior challenge entries to be entered in the best of the year challenge? It's silly to restrict them especially when you can get around it by submitting a near duplicate. Let everyone enter their best and not penalize those who didn't shoot in burst mode.

This is what I also think. The reason is, the best shot for every month we usually end up entering it in that months free study. So if we take the whole year, the best shot is most probably been already entered.

Guess it should be allowed,
but im pretty sure it'll get voted down if people recognize it in any case |

Well the point is to just allow everyone's best and not have voters play rules cop. Besides that sort of voting down has never been effective. We get photos that are nearly identical win multiple ribbons all the time, sometimes in the same week. |

If something has already won what's the point of putting it into another challenge?
Shots that have been seen already have always been allowed in the Best Of challenges. Recognition has always been brought up. Using an image that can be recognized is not against the rules. Promoting that image in some way, ie. directing voters to the site to give you a 10, is against the rules. |
