I know this may seem a strange question on this site... hehe. However, I'm wondering if under the new (or old) Advanced Editing rules we are allowed to use the photoshop "Add Noise" filter to grain up an image a little. Anyone care to enlighten me? |

Absolutely. You can even add noise in basic editing.

From the rules:
You may only add noise to an image as an intermediate step in the overuse of Neat Image (or other Noise Reduction software) if plastic looking skin is not possible with default noise levels.

No “effects” filters may be applied to your image, with the exception of Noise and Gaussian Blur. |
