With the cool fall, my yard roses are the best in years. Please look at my portfolio in Flora and give some feed back. Thanks, Van

I really like the orange and red and white ones. They have a very nice tone and lighting to them. My roses too are blooming like crazy... maybe I should go shoot some pics :-p

pink and yellow is truly gorgeous photo. I love the abstract feeling of it. The others are really nice as well.

Nice shots of your roses Van! They are great flowers to photograph, and it looks like you have quite the color variety! I really like the "Red and White" and "Orange" photos.

P.S. Thanks for explaing why the feather's looked so strange in my Flight entry. "Molting secondaries" huh?

Thanks for the kind comments, we planted around 50 bushes when we bought the "Money Pit", and they really do well when it is cool. It hasn't frosted yet, so they may last a bit longer.

EddyG - the gull wing feathers usually molt singally in primary (flight feathers), the outer 10 or so feathers. The next feathers to the body are considered secondary flight feathers, since the are not needed for their main power of flight. The can molt as a group, usually equally on each wing. Some birds can look really scraggely during molt. Van
