... so taking the advise of those who have commented on my previous sets. I reworked my entire studio area to maximize the distance I could get my models from the background... I was only able to get maybe half a foot more space but what a difference... between that and reworking how my lights are set up this is the result... please comment!

Just warn us if you get the urge to photograph yourself with cheese or peanut butter. We have an intervention program for that now.

These are so much...BETTER! You are improving rapidly.

My biggest comment now would be on the blacks. It may be a post processing thing, but in all of the pictures, most of the blacks are so dark that there's no detail in the fabric.

I'm also leaving a couple of comments on individual photos. But there is no comparison between these and the ones from a few days ago. Yay!

Thanks!!! It's amazing what a few models for practice and some great comments from people here will do...:)

Me too. Oddly enough, I have a spam filter set to delete emails with that exact text! :)

Ya'll are bad... LOL

I think I got an e-mail with the same title this morning.

BTW, I do agree with the comment about the blacks. Make sure you're not clipping them in LR. Also, might want to boost the sharpening for web.

DPC lesson #325: A Good title makes people read threads... Mine; accurate, and yet... it made you read on; my job here is done!

Especially in the last photo ... you have pushed the highlights WAY too far IMO. Sorry ... you asked.

I think the original is better in tonal quality and just a very small touch of an S-curve in curves to give a bit more contrast would be the best result.

Actually similar comment for them ALL but the last is the worst offender of over doing it IMO. Just my two cents.

yeah, you might check to make sure your monitor is calibrated right if those look okay to you, way to bright and contrasty here. of course this is a work monitor, but it's usually pretty okay, if not set as well as my home one.

Great pictures! Only comment would be to invest a hair light. It's not really necessary, the pictures are great w/o it, however if you want to take your portraits to the next level, a hair light would add another dimension and texture to the images. Just a thought.

I would have to agree about pushing the exposure. They seem all too bright to me. Maybe a halfway point would be good.
