Just a quick question. For the January free study, in the rules, they say Advanced Editing and in parentheses Time Lapse. Does that mean that we have to do a time lapse free study, or can we use hdr? |

as far as i know - you can do time lapse. The contest was opened with the new rules in place so it would be unfair to those who already went out and got their free study entries with the new rules in mind before the 13th/14th change. |

Thanks. Don't want to do time lapse, but I just don't want the voters to be expecting all the shots to be time lapse. The rule set might be misleading. |

No.
With up to three versions of the Advanced Rules on the front page at the same time, we needed a way to clearly identify which was which. Advanced Editing VI permitted both time lapse and HDRI, so you may use those features for Free Study 2008-01 -- [b]but you don't have to[/u].
Just because the rules say you may do something doesn't mean you have to. For example, the rules have always said you may desaturate, but lots of people still send in color photos. :o)

Thanks Club Juggle for the clarification. I was ready to delete my choice because it didn't show motion. Of course, the month is still young. |
