		| | A buddy of mine is doing a film contest and I was wondering if anyone here knows if there are any noise reduction techniques for post processing of a film. We filmed a shot in a bar and due to the low lighting we had to use the night mode which generated alot of noise. any help would be appreciated. |

 He said FILM.

Sorry. I'm no use. Last film camera I used was a disposable.

		| | I'm not sure I understand, night mode on a film camera generating noise?
Most modern films don't have much noise (grain) in low light, unless they are under-exposed or processed incorrectly.

But, the way you worded the question, I'm not sure if you meant to say video instead.

		| | You can get grainy film by using super high speed like 1600 or by pushing it when you process it or at least from what I remember been so long since I shot film. Not sure if grainy is equal to noisy either. |

		| | Depends on the film, exposure and processing, IF you mean 35mm. I'm assuming you talking digital video? Otherwise, there's no fix for pushing tri-X to 3200 ASA other than claiming artistic license.
