Oops.
I did this without realising it was illegal in the monuments challenge a few months back. Can I delete my entry now? |
No, I think once a week or two has passed we are all stuck with it .... |

Don't worry, Heather, I won't do it, as tempted as I am. The rule seems a bit capricious to me, but I'm not a cheater (except when it comes to chocolate :)

My upcoming out-take for the Urban Landscape Challenge. I think I already have the right perspective. |

A related question: Is it possible to delete past challenge entries, especially the ones we now look back on and cringe?

Thanks! Don't tempt me into reconsidering my entry ... |

Okay, I'm confused. Can you straighten by rotating the whole photo a degree and then cropping? I am not talking about using "perspective". Also, doesn't adjusting the hue and saturation (which is allowed) change the color of pixels? |

I think not -- it creates problems for the database and the archives. I think you can transfer them into the Workshop folder, and then they are not seen by people browsing your portfolio, but only if directed there by a specific URL (e.g. from a challenge archive page). I think you also need to edit the photo's information and remove any gallery designations, or else people will see them when they browse that gallery. |

Yes ... you can rotate by either rotating the entire canvas and then cropping off any excess, or by drawing a cropping rectangle within the image area and rotating that (performs the crop and rotation in one operation). |

Right now I have the option of answering your questions or washing some very dirty dishes ... you make the call! |

Buxtehude is actually a very nice town, I went there this year. Strange name for a dog tho.

I was thinking of the composer, not the town. I used to play his pieces on the organ at church, and I always loved his music. So I figured since we give people names that we like, why not call a dog after a musician I admire.
