I have 12 lenses, 10 of which are listed here at dpc. I've found myself leaving most of them behind on trips and some just gather dust. So, one of my pledges for 2008 is to submit to at least 1 challenge with a different lens. It may sound simple but the phrase 'shoehorning' may come into play toward the end of the year ;)
Oh, and my question, anybody else care to make a similar pledge? Am sure an unused lens in your bag would be better used on someone elses cam :) |

I too would like to submit photos with your lenses. Please post one of them to me immediately. I may require some length of time to get my submission in. :)

A bit like the inverse of the "one club challenge" that golfers do. It's also quite a nice idea for a special challenge - limiting by lens (or realistically focal length, e.g. 50mm). As for trying to shoot with all my lenses...I don't have that many but what I do have gets a pretty thorough workout.
Any L glass loans gratefully received though :)

OK, I'm in.
I only have one lens, and have already submitted to four challenges this year, two of which are complete (time lapse, clowns) and two of which are still in the voting stage (rivers, yellow). So I guess that makes me the first one to complete the pledge and report back to you. Do you have any sort of award thing that I can post on my profile? :) |

If you really want to impress folks why not shoot all the challenges this year with just one lens, say the 15mm 2,8 fisheye.

At 5mm differences that is more than 35 entries! Maybe I'll try and borrow 35 lenses instead, that would be a lot more fun. |

I pledge to use ALL of my lenses before the end of February. :-D

Don't tempt me, used that for the first challenge and almost on the second (which imho would have been a better shot). I'm really wanting to give a reason (to myself) for owning more lenses than I use or really need.
Oh, and am living proof that throwing money at this 'hobby' doesn't make you better at it (but at least I'm learning). |

I'd come out ahead on that deal for sure... but I'd end up doing more PP on my photos. That 100mm macro might show skin flaws just a little TOOO well. :-D

I'll happily pledge to shoot at least one challenge entry per lens with my 4 lenses. I have done it every year anyway :-)
