So much for trying something I liked seems the commenter's can only see one thing. And I hardly think the image is ruined but I get what you all don't like. Too bad no one can me tell what they do like, just the negative for me I guess...

:-|

Maybe just to save some time say " IT SUCKS".

Why are there always a few that leave comments like that? It does nothing what so ever to help. I don't care if it does suck in someoneĂ¢€™s opinion, they could say it in a more positive and constructive way or say nothing at all.

I've only been a member a few weeks and I've already received a few like that myself. It's just not necessary IMO.

My panties are in a knot and I am just being too sensitive.

Edit: make it more of the truth! :-P

Nah, you're knot as crotchety as you think. There are some seriously creepazoid commenters lately. Buy some tact, people.

Oddly enough, I'm more excited about beating my 2nd-best score than my personal best (not that I'd complain!), because it's been sitting there on my profile page for so long. But I have to admit, beating 7 for the first time ever would be mighty sweet!

About not sharing your score? Oh, yes. Most definitely.

I meant to share my "almost like DrAchoo" story. When I went to the location of my shoot for this challenge, I had to scramble a bit down some large, broken rocks to the edge of the ... subject. No sweat - they were dry. After spending some time shooting the angle I'd intended, I looked to my left and WHAM. THAT was the angle I needed, but I needed a slightly different shooting spot. So off I go, stepping from stone to stone. Whoops! That one was slippery. Now to find the perfect spot to put down my tripod. And again my foot finds a slippery rock, but this time, I'm waaaay off balance. So off balance, in fact, that I let go of my tripod (which was collapsed so I could carry it) with my left hand. The tripod, that is, that has my camera attached. If you'd been watching me, you'd have thought I tossed the tripod from my left hand to my right. But I was thiiiiis close to cashing in my insurance policy.

And worse, I wouldn't have gotten my entry. :)

That's a pretty good story. You've learned a few lessons padawan.

1) Don't go walking around with your camera ON the tripod IN the water.
2) Use the tripod as a walking stick.

I've got you one better for this challenge. I took my picture on location...in my underwear. You'll have to wait for the details.

Yep, good advice. I wasn't in the water, though. I leave that advanced stuff to you. ;)

My insurance company dropped my camera from my policy yesterday. Can't say I didn't see that coming, but it was the best $70 in premiums I ever paid... :)

Well since I only ribbon when my score is over 7.3 and honorable mentions are even harder to get (I have more 6th place finishes than 4 and 5 place finishes combined) I might as well post my score as it surely will just be another star at best:

ETA: Also a non-HDRI entry. I completely forgot we can now use multiple exposures.

Jeffrey - what kind of photographer are you, anyway? NEVER risk the camera!!! I can't believe you added juggling to a balancing act. Much better for you to be injured ;-)

Mornin', all!
