Hi all,

I've been away for a while, six weeks to be exact, working in Labrador, as a surveyor on the Voisey's Bay Nickel Project. I thought I'd share some pictures of Voisey's Bay: This is a mountain called Old Joe. This is one of the Twin Otters that gets us to and from the site. This is Voisey's Bay at dawn1dawn2. Here's a heavy lift of form work being performed. This is one of the contractors that make up the joint venture for which I work.

I won't be spending much time on DPC in next couple of months as I am scheduled to go back to work for six to eight weeks (or until winter shutdown). Maybe on my next trip in I'll be lucky enough to capture the Northern Lights (Labrador is renowned as one of the best places in the world to view aurora borealis).

Thanks everyone. It's nice to be back, even if it is for a short time. I just hope I can get the creative juices flowing and enter a contest or two before I have to leave again. I've really missed coming here. :)

Hey, Owen, it's great to hear from you. I was just wondering about you the other day. Glad to hear you found a job - hope its a good one. And hope your family's doing good. Looking forward to seeing some more shots from you. :)
