Left a comments on a couple. Knowing the context/purpose for the shots would be most helpful in providing feedback though.

The one of my Kiddo was us out playing while scouting a location for a model shoot
He had his ripstick gear with him so I figured ... what the heck ...
The Train started as a series of images for my website ... I am working on a deal with an model enthusiast club for a series based on this image

The last one was a demo shot for a candle company.

Well you asked ... This is only MY opinion and I am NOT an expert by any means ...

The one with your boy, I think is a little too heavy handed on the Lucisart attitude but excellent in most other ways.

The train one is super but I cannot help yearning for SOME difference between the top of the engine and the background to define the top of the engine. I would love to see the tiniest bit of light on the background behind the engine to separate it from the wall.

The third image IMO is immaculate in all ways and even trying to be super fussy, I cannot think of a single thing or fidget that mike make it better. I think it is nailed as it is. I would be proud to have created this image.

The above is only my opinion. I hope it gives you insight into one more common man's overview of your images.

Thanks Greetmir

The one of my Kiddo is Not Lucisart ... I do not even own the application :). That being said I kinda agree that it needs to be brought back a bit ...

On the engine ... I fought with this ?!@!* shot for a several hours ... I agree that it needs more seperation at the top.

Thank you thank you for your feedback ... !!!!

Well ... they are both very high contrast images ... and very hard to compare being different sizes ... I fiddled with them and made them the same(ish) size so as to compare better. As I said ... it is a very high contrast shot ... and they are very similar ... but I do like the tonal quality (especially in your son's cheek bones and forehead) in your second submission (the left one which you said had less of an illustration effect).

BTW ... I said "Lucisart attitude" ... not "Lucisart application" :)

I would like to play with this image as a challenge for more dynamic range. Mind you, it might destroy the artistic presentation of the shot as it is, I dunno.

Also some minor cropping would bring it into an almost perfect Rule of Thirds situation which most say they find desireable.

All in all, I think that it is a very good shot that you are asking opinions of how (in our opinion) it could be made into an excellent shot.

... and all I have said is only my opinion.

Feel Free to play around ... I always like to see other interpertations :)

For reference ... here is the image with more of a conventional post process ...

If you would like to play with a higher res let me know !

wow ... that is actually a super shot ... you dont need to do too much with it. I think that you want to perk it up but have been going in the wrong direction. Maybe it is just super as it is ... but maybe you could make it into 2 images ... one almost as it is and one cropped tight to be more of a portrait of your son. The lighting and skin tones in this last one you are showing are pretty damn nice!

But if you would allow me to play with your already good work ... send me anything up to about 9 meg to Greetmir@yahoo.com and I would be honored to give it a shot.

I think it is good as it is and could be just a tad more excellent and something he would cherish in the near and far future.

If the image didnt get me excited we wouldnt be doing all this back and forth ... heh ...

What is it he has in his hand btw ?

P.S. I think your image "flawless" is drop dead gorgeous btw.
