Ok... yes everyone knows about the satellite view... but have your tried street view? I just realized that was there... perhaps I'm a little slow but holy crap!
You click it and you get this little yellow dude and any streets with blue outlines you can move him there and get a full 360 street view and "walk" along and look at stuff.
I took a step by step tour of the neighborhood I'm gunna be living in when I go to Philly. A little scary but hey, now I'm prepared and won't be as shocked!
I just think this could be pretty cool and handy for looking for locations esp if you are in a city, like Philly, that is pretty well mapped out.
I'm also thinking... wow that was a lot of images. It amazes me... |

that is pretty cool.. wow.. i looked at central park. if you move your view around, you can see that there is equipment mounted on a car, you have to look down. it's mostly blocked out though..
thanks for the entertainment! :) |

Have you tried google earth. It's neat and now people can upload images to any location and as you zoom in you can click on the camera icon and it will show you the picture that was uploaded. You can upload pictures, it's ever growing. Not only do they have pictures but youtube video in locations along with books, info and more.

And doing the location walk virtually, you won't look like a tourist and get mugged. lol! |
