the 350d grip is the same one for the 400d, but hang on for a month. Rumours are abounds for a 400d replacement to be announced 24th jan so you may want to wait to compare them.

As for the price, I got mine used from a dude on DPC, and cos of the awesome £-$ exchange rate i did damned good from it, and he got a fair price. Think it was $100.

It adds to the resale value too if it ever comes down to it, so all in all, a worthy purchase.
