A little more about the current Exhibitions
.............................................

The Subject Isolation by Contrast Challenge Exhibition---- * DPC Member Only Exhibition *

This Challenge, err, Exhibition, is all about how using CONTRAST to isolate your SUBJECT can create impact in a photograph. It is difficult to achieve natural contrast in an image and even more difficult to post process an image that has contrast in it. Take a look at these examples of the use of contrast to isolate a subject or object.

**DPC, DPC Exhibitions and all 'content' encountered during the DPC Experience, is NOT contained within a protected little bubble. It is ON the internet. These Exhibitions are unlike those of old: private, little groups of enthusiasts, viewing, voting, judging, commenting and remarking on photographs discreetly amongst themselves in a little room, generally, out of the public eye. The internet is a whole new animal - travel carefully.

What the heck is this? Cut to the chase and provide a one-liner as to what you are trying to accomplish?

I think the idea is to get people to look at some pictures without it seeming like "work" ...

Umm, looks pretty obvious even if sarcastic. Vote, comment, use the site, like, for what it was created or something?

Macrothing, have you considered going into the advertising field? I think some of those late night infomercials are in need of better copywriters.

BTW, I liked it.

Nice post! And I do view the challenges as exhibitions. I really enjoy wandering through the galleries. I spend a little time here and there and marvel at what some folks are able to do with a few million pixels. I think too many people get hung up on "score" and forget to take time to enjoy.
