I actually gave this to my sister in law:

But, since I had already used it for the Ebay challenge, I passed on using this bizarro item again.

BTW, last year she gave me the "freeloader fork".

It's an extensible fork, for stealing food off other's plates. I suppose I could have entered that, but i didn't think of it.

Here's a few of my outtakes:

Was a fun challenge to enter and I didn't expect too much out of it. I really did get that book from my mother in-law...Deb had a green cuba hat, I had a green California rangers jacket, and I found the car window England flag. All the right elements put together wrongly...all part of the learning curve. I really need lighting and more importantly space! That wall I'm shooting against is literally the only space in our flat. Can't wait for the sunlight to come back so I can get out and about properly again...

Here's an outtake. I liked this one better, but the wife said all she could look at was my teeth. The outtake better represented that way I wanted the chicken to appear as if I was holding it as a reload, but let go when I got hit in the eye.

Here's the actual challenge entry:

I used a wire (cloned out) from the gun to the chicken, to suspend it. I cut the other chicken in half to hold in my eye, but had a really hard time doing that. I actually had to cut another chicken in half, after the first one fell out of my eye and bounced off not to be found until I cleaned up later.

Thanks for the votes & comments, everybody!

Also, you should all probably buy the 16x20 inch print of my shot for your bedroom. Come on, you know you want to go to sleep, and wake up every day to the sight of Slippy!

:-D

Strike - grats on the ribbon. I loved this shot...lots of fun (voted it 8, my highest score for that challenge shared with 2 others). I can see why you and your wife disagreed on the final selection. Both are great but I think I prefer the outtake, in that I like the toothy expression in response to a chicken in the eye!

p.s. check your phone messages and e-mail - apparently Reuters, AP and Time Magazine are all fighting for the rights to your image :)

Another "Made in China" scandal. Unsafe for adults! :-)
