All my scores are still dropping. My FS that was above 6 is now below it. My OI by C is still close to 5.7, and my nice Ice which started out at about 6.8 is now below 5.4. :(

Anyone have some examples of shots used with an Extension tube?
I just bought a Nikon pk-13, 27mm tube and I am excited.

If any members have some examples they took I would love to see them.

If it is as nice as I hope, maybe I'll call it my "Sexy Extension Tube" in honor of our leader.

My Ice shot has now gone below 5.2 and still dropping. I will give it a couple days then likely have to pull it.

My fire shot has dropped from 6.4 when i got up this morning to 5.88 now. I still love this image more than anything I have entered in a long time, so I do not really care. I feel bad for Chris though, this is the first time he has seriously assisted in the making of the photo and he us taking this drop very badly.

Why would you pull it? Don't you believe in sucking?

My Ice entry is going down the drain. I am curious to know what my fellow Team Suck members think about Ice ...is snow ice ?? I took it to mean crystal clear Ice that you can slip on & break your neck. So I did real ice for my entry.
The arguement is: Wikki says snow is crystlline pieces of ice- I say ice is slippery & shiny & is a different form of water then snow...Am I narrow minded ?

I do not know about everyone else but I try to be very open minded and lenient about the challenge topics. I would rather see a mixture of different interpretation than 100 different views of one narrow subject.

I don't know, but if I pick up a ball of snow and put some lemon flavoring on it then I have a lemon ICEE (slushy), yet other times I have heard the term "yellow snow".

hehe - what's a snow cone? Shaved ice! :D

Yeah that's a tricky question. I guess I'm looking for many forms of ice in voting so if I don't see any at all, that would be DNMC to me.

Personally I think of ice as different then snow. However snow can turn into a form of ice if it is half melted and then frozen again. However movable, grain or flakelike snow is definately not ice.

I was always warned not to eat yellow snow!

Holy crap! My Ice entry has now totally Jebbed down to 5.17 and still dropping! Maybe I will leave it in. It can't hurt anything but my pride.

Speaking of Jeb, I hope he is still lurking around.

Anyone make profile/bio updates for 2008?

I added goals for 2008, and my age will probably change soon.

Yes I deleted all mine because I decided to ditch the goals and just take some pic-chas wot I like. It was very freeing, I feel much better now.

I think I'll just leave the goals from last year - they still sorta stand. My personal goals changed a bit, but my photography ones haven't changed all that much. I guess I could tag on:
-learn how to do portrait lighting
-learn more about rules of composition

And I'm so annoyed that I didn't enter the fire challenge... I'm at home away from all my fire-spinner friends, and I just didn't have much time for light-painting... And I was so jealous when I was marking the challenge :)

Edward Hopper did a series of paintings along the lines of "A Woman in a Hotel Room". I've decided this year that I will have a new profile photograph every time I stay in a hotel.

I'm sure your fire pictures would do well in a Free Study!

LOL -- ICE is dangerous and should be avoided. Funny, I pretended that the challenge wasn't there. I'd say, just my opinion, snow and ice are so very very close.
