Heh! Always good to have company! And it's still my favorite shot of the month by far. Stuck it in mid-month and still liked it best by the time the end of the month rolled around. So there it stayed! |

i saw this coming 2 weeks ago, this is one of those shots i just love but i knew not too many other would, i am hoping people will vote it based on the imagery of the shot and their gut reaction rather than the technicals, but i am prepared for the worst.

Based on what everyone's saying and my own score, I think the people voting at the moment are incredibly low voters. I've seen Melethia's shot, and it's good. My own is well-lit, sharp, and well-composed, and it's sitting at 5.0 after 9 votes.
So I recommend that everyone ignore the scores until 24 hours have passsed. :)

Not necessarily...maybe people posting their scores just have photographs people normally vote lower on? I dunno...

Naah, at least not in the case of Melethia and me, whose shots I've seen in advance. I'm generally within 0.2 of guesses on how images will score. Note that I'm not complaining "my shot deserves X" but rather saying that shots like these two would normally score considerably higher than they're showing now. Anyway, time will tell, and I've certainly been wrong before. :)
But congrats - it looks like you have a great shot!

| Umm, Jeffrey? Mine is probably getting what it deserves. It's not the shot I had in our thread - that one will go in my portfolio when I remember to upload it (though I may play with it more first.) The one I have in isn't one you've seen. |

Wish I could.
My entry evidently got bumped or something during the time my membership expired,
that and with a really busy day and 3 failed attempts to renew the membership
(4th time was a charm, same credit card too). Wasn't till it was too late that
I noticed it wasn't in anymore. oh well, it's in my portfolio.
*sigh* |
