I did the volunteer work thingy this morning (at 5 am!!) so Chris is cooking dinner. All I know for sure is roasted chicken and wild rice pilaf. I believe we will also have glazed carrots, but not sure. No matter what we have it will be wonderful as I am eating it with my dear family. |

Dinner was wonderful; the traditional turkey, and my son made caramel apple crumble for dessert that was soooo good, but there's a twinge of sadness for me, still.
Growing up, we always had Christmas pudding with burnt sugar sauce. My mother never used a recipe for the sauce, just adding until it was right. She tried to show us girls how, but somehow ours never turned out as good, so we always had Mom make it. Now she's gone, and there's nobody to make burnt sugar sauce, so there's no Christmas pudding.
Sometimes I really miss my mommy.... :( |

Mmmmmm... Nice tastey T-bone seasoned with salt, pepper, touch of cumin, and Mrs. Dash. Seared off and finished with a few dashes of Chipotle Tabasco. To heck with veggies tonight. Meat. Yum. |

Was tempted by some Papa John's, but went with the slab o' meat instead.
There's a place close to here called Curls that always makes me laugh 'cause it sound like a hair salon, but they're a wing's and fries joint. lol |

Wings in PHX... now there's a place over on Ray Rd, just west of I 10 that serves some mean wings... New York something or the other. Mmmmmm. Try the suicide; its *hot*!
ETA: dinner tonight was some takeout 'za from Papa John's... and some homemade bread pudding with whiskey sauce for dessert.

I'm starting a new diet. I'm giving up one meal a day and replacing it with sex. Now, if I could only find someone to help me with the diet. ;) |

(Resisting the mentioning the connection with having to pay for food...) |
