I have bought a few accessories lately which I think are excellent, so I thought I'd share. And while doing that, I thought I start a thread where perhaps others might share something they found particularly excellent.
1) Hakuba Media Card Case - I've struggled in my conversion from CF to SD. My old CF wallet is just too loose for SDs. But I found this case, which is an excellent way to carry 4SD cards. Opens easy, closes securely, the SDs won't fall out, you can even attach it to your keychain.
2) Hakuba Fluid Leveler - this is really handy. I got lucky and found mine for around $20 about a year ago. Not sure why these are so expensive now, but they are worth it if you can't find it for less.
Just a coincidence both my picks for now are Hakuba. I have no connection to the company (or BH).

Those are dandy; I used to use one like that in my film days. But my current tripod head as levels in all 3 planes, so I'm good to go there :-)

Lensmate adapters for Canon Not useful unless you have one of these cameras, but I have found it to be a well spent $25. Allows me to use any 52mm accessories with my Canon S5. They do sell similar adapters and lens accessories for other compacts, mostly Canon.
I'm really fond of my Caselogic camera bag. It's just right for my S5 and needed accessories, though it woudl be too small for most SLR's, especially if you carry extra lenses.
I don't have one of these yet, but I expect to be picking up a Gorillapod or Flexpod in the next few days.

I assume you are getting the flexpod? I see that gorillapod is suppose to handle my camera and a long tele. Not sure I would trust that thing any where but on the ground.

| Dotline AA/AAA battery holder to keep the same batteries for a device so they are all charged to the same level every time. |

I got this hand strap a while ago (maybe 2 years now) and it's great. My biggest issue was too not enough rigidity and he appears to have addressed that with a thicker version now.
Makes all the difference in the world having a handstrap.

That's a pretty neat looking hand strap. i was listening to Tips From the Top floor and he was talking about having a hand strap that mounts to the tripod socket, but I had not seen one. I have a regular handstrap with a single point mount that just goes around the wrist.
I picked up the flexpod/gorillpod this evening. I actually got the Targus branded version that Radio Shack sells. I am certain all 3 brands are the identical product. The details of it are too similar and would violate patents if they were not the same product licensed under several brands. I did get the SLR size model. Seems plenty to support my S5. I picked up an inexpensive light box the other day and decided I needed one of these for more flexibility in positioning my camera. |

I got the slr gorillapod for Christmas and, though I haven't given it a rough workout yet, it seems pretty darned strong! |
