I am so, like, totally ticked off with Adobe at the moment.
Shelled out 100 big fat cookies last night to get a serial number for the trial copy of Adobe Premiere Elements that I had downloaded - a freaking 2.8 GIG download, by the way.
Freaking serial number does not work.
Is anyone aware that "contacting" customer support at Adobe is a joke? Doggone $29 bucks for a tech support contact????? What the heck?
I'm open for suggestions.
Sorry to post a video aggravation on a photography site, but there are so many mega doods here that I thought someone might know how to attack this. I'm in the process of downloading it AGAIN just in case there's something magical about the version they provide the download link to instead of just using the "trial" that I previously downloaded. |

This is typical of Adobe. I have the entire "Creative Suite" and nothing, including Adobe's knowledge base solutions, will enable me to get Acrobat Professional 8 up and running. It is maddening. I have the software, I have the serial number, everything else is working fine, but Acrobat is FUBAR.

Searching the adobe forums usually provides the answers for me. (not the support Q & A)
ETA: From the adobe site -
//kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=kb402065#redownload
There's a note on this page that indicates a way to look up your download purchases (once you log in). With each product downloaded should be a serial number.
You may want to verify it and try again.

I wonder if the serial number is specific to a certain download package??? I'm trying again, as I mentioned, but you would THINK that a serial number would work with either the trial or the download version, according to their site. Dunno.
Thanks for the suggestions.

Haha. I saw the title of this thread, and thought, "Hey, that's the same stuff Bernard was talking about."
So, I clicked on it hoping to get some information he needed.
D'uh. Bernard is the OP.
Anyway -- back to your regularly scheduled discussion.

And Bernard is more than a little aggravated about it, too :) |
