I can find lots of threads about banning titles etc but not one on this point so ....
.... personally I don't like titles, or more accurately I don't like titling my own pictures ....
.... so could we have an option to leave challenge entries untitled ? I am aware that you can type in 'untitled' but that's just an innominate title, and you can also type in gibberish, but sometimes it would be nice just to leave the title completely blank. |

It used to be an option for a long time, but it caused problems I think for the site statistics and linking images from your profile page. Without a title there is no easy way to click on the image of your last ten challenge entries, because without a title there is no link. I am sure some SC member could explain the problems it made better. I liked not being able to give images titles sometimes too, but I think it may not come back again. :/ |

Maybe an option to just use a full stop, or underscore or inverted commas ? |

I believe you can simply put a single period or underscore or something. |

A single period can be used - I've seen that done, though the one time I saw it, it was actually an apt title for the image as well. It's one by pointandshoot:

Now if you don't put a title it says "Your title must contain one letter or number." |

The one letter or number thing was what I got - I must admit I didn't try to see if it would accept punctuation. |

I think they have changed it. A while back you could put any punctuation or at least most. You could even press the space bar once and have no title (blank) but now I believe you have to put a letter or number. |
