Why do people view and not vote?
12/24/2007 11:30:26 AM · #2
If it's a member challenge, non-members can't vote but they can view. Some may view a shot more than once while voting. Some don't feel comfortable voting or don't have time to vote enough to count so they just glance through the thumbnails and open a select few to view. Or it could be a nude... those get lots of views.

they wouldn't if it was me :- )

It can also be because the viewer chooses to step over the shot rather than give it a low mark - it can be curiousity - the desire to see the shot at full size instead of thumbnail - might be that they haven't decided whether to join in and vote 20% yet ?

there are all sorts of reasons

Also, some people come back and adjust some of their votes, and/or to comment.

I wonder how many folks vote on all entries? Except their own of course.

I usually vote 'em all if I vote on the challenge. I no longer vote on all the challenges, though.

On a large challenge, I will do my 20%, but try to comment on all of those votes.

I will sometimes be voting/commenting and choose to stop at a certain point, coming back later. Sometimes I will view a few before voting in order to start thinking about them and getting a feel for the challenge.
