I have been reading a lot of comments on how the critiqueing of challenges should or shouldn't be done. I have come up with a way that may be helpful so that people don't think it's too time consuming to make comments. I understand how time comsuming it is to review all of the challenge entries, but also understand how important it is to get feed back from others. I have decided to comment on three pictures in each category of my ratings. Three of the best, three of the middle and three lower ranked (IMHO of course). If more of us did this, maybe more people would get better responses than nice picture. If you only comment on a few, over time you will probably comment on many different photographers work. Constructive critism is always helpful and will make us all better.
On the other side of this, we all have to understand that we are helping each other, so a little thick skin may be required as apart of the learning process.
What do you think? |

I try to do that - my self rule is that to comment on one of the ones I really like and have voted high I have to do three of the ones I voted lowest...so far so good (for me at least).

The thing is to start small and build on it. |
