Just got a Canon 10D. I've heard the large jpegs from this camera can be used to create very good quality larger prints up to 13 x 19 or so. How is this so without adding pixels through interpolation? Aren't most very good quality prints created from 230-240 PPI images? I'm a little confused. Can anyone explain?

I got some great 16x20 results with my 10D. The best way to achieve this is to do a step interpolation. John has put up a very handy turorial regarding printing larger images here

Thanks Jacko,
I have used John's tutorial before with excellent results. Just wanted to see where all the raves about large prints from this camera were founded. I guess a 8 x 10 or maybe a 10 x 13 is all I can hope for without adding pixels.

I have some 15 x 10 prints from my Fuji MX-2700 which are great and its a 2.3 mp. This is without any manipulation of the pixel's.
I would have thought you would be able to print much larger from your 10D?

| I have gotten a couple of 16x20's printed from my nikon Coolpix 995. It's 3.2 mp. I use a plugin for Adobe photoshop from extensis called smart pixel to resize my photos |

you can get pics much larger than 13x19 from a 10d. i'd say you can print at least 20x30 without loss in quality.
