I have a hard time believing it.

I wanna see proof of these mystical scrubbers. I wanna see charts, graphs.. videos of mass executions... something...

There was a thread last week about someone who lost his votes to the scrubber.

Sp... it should be easy to show that with actual numbers then... and not just the 20% limit...

huh? I don't understand what you are wanting.

Simple...

I want to see numbers (formulas, whatever) that prove the scrubbers do what they are purported to do... ie scrub troll votes, friend votes...

The scrubbers are as mystical as the things they are said to protect against.

I've personally seen the scrubber in action. Several low votes (a few high ones too) are eliminated at rollover on practically challenge. Most are for failure to meet 20%, but some are for obvious attempts to influence the vote. We could tell you the formula, but then we'd have to kill you.

why don't you tell us why you're really asking, then you might get an answer that actually matters? Is it your SP 1 that's upsetting you? Cuz dude seriously...I (and many others) have had shots that won ribbons that received at least 5 ones. I think its a combination of personal taste and unabashed insecurity. Either way, ain't no mathematical formula that can sort that messed up s*** out. 1000 monkey counselors with 1000 typewriters might eventually answer this question.

Nah... that one I just contribute to some random asshole... I just like proof when asked to believe something is working, that;s all. And why it's supposed to work...

If you'd like proof, I can post an example of your votes getting tossed. ;-)

I lost everything to the scrubber - at least 23 ribbon-winning challenge entries over the past 3 years that just "vanished" at rollover. When I protested, my posts also vanished and one morning I woke up with a horse head in my bed (granted, it was one of those plastic ones on a stick they sell to toddlers). So I was scared and I kept my mouth shut - but then my bank accounts were "scrubbed" - and it's just a little too convenient to blame it on the fact that I wrote checks for more money than I had in the bank. No, I'm certain it was the work of the scrubber. Well now I'm speaking ou-----------------------

Here ya go, Art. I managed to recover your post for ya, including even the part at the end that seemed irretrievable.

O'm curious... does it ever not throw out all the voter's votes? The votes counted area seems to indicate it does... but what would be a scenario?

If a malicious pattern is detected, they all go. The scrubber wouldn't know which votes were legitimate.

Here is A case of scrubbers in the unseen challenge final Votes: 198 in my tracking of the votes I had 205 so 7 votes were scrubbed I received no 1-2 these may have been the scrubbed ones, in any case something is working!

I've been running a score tracker(excel spreadsheet) while I have challenges running. I'll post some screen shots here to back up my post. I had, at one time during the voting process, 317 votes on my "Self Portrait" entry.

After the roll over the tracker calculates the "final score" & "final vote count" and told me that I lost a total of 6 votes with an average score of 4.3366 each. Is this what you're asking for?

My understanding of the "scrubber" is that it removes the votes submitted by any voter that has not voted on "AT LEAST" 20% of the current challenge's total number of entries.

Self Portrait example: 20% of 240 entries requires a voter to vote on at least 48. Other than what scalvert said about a malicious pattern being detected that was all I thought(realized) it did.
