Hello all, I have been experimenting with the a new technique of turning photos in to "Paintings" below is a link to gallery. Please let me know what you think of the images and the technique. This is something I am just beginning to explore, so I am a total newbee at this.
I was also wondering if anyone else has done any of this type of work and what you may be using.
Thanks
Kevin

I love em! I also do this type of editing sometimes.
What filters do you use? |

This was done by hand (by my wife) using Corel Painter:
And this one I did with a Photoshop plugin (one of the rare times I have ever been happy with what a PS plugin has done to my images):

I have used Photoshop but didn't quite like the effect. The other day I discovered Corel Painter Essentials. I am using the free trial and just letting the program do the work. I'll play around with this some more using the manual settings and see what happens. |

This multi-media portrait began as a photograph of our garden pond then I converted it to a mimic an oil painting using Paint.Net. I have also experimented with the oil painting utiliy on ACDSee.
