Help!

I just finished shooting a wedding with my new Canon 40D. I wanted to see them on my CS2 and I can't see them at all. I tried downloading the Camera Raw & 3.5, which I think is the last update for the CS2 but nothing works!! I set everything up where it's suppose to be & even purged my central cashe. Can anyone give me some ideas on how i can see my raw files & acctually get them on my bridge & photoshop.

Get Adobe DNG Converter, convert your RAW files to Adobe DNG then process them as usual in CS2.

Adobe has found a new way to gouge you, only support the newest DSLR's on their latest Version of Photoshop..earlier versions have to rely on the DNG conversion.

Alternatively, use Canon's DPP to convert. It came with your camera, and it's actually a pretty decent program.

Camera Raw 4 something is out. It came out in late october I believe. it was after the 40D came out.

You also have DPP - came with the camera on the CD. There are tutorials on the 'net for it. very powerful, fast program, but not all it's controls are obvious at first look (just like photoshop, huh?)

How come your profile here shows [no camera - vote only]??

That would only work in CS3

The latest updates from Adobe recognize the new 14-bit RAW files from Canon. However, these updates are only for CS3.

You can use DPP, which came with the camera, to convert from RAW (to TIF, JPG, etc), then use your CS2 to edit those converted files.

Also, if you use Windows Vista, Canon has an update available that allows viewing of these RAW files natively from the Vista file explorer and Windows Photo Gallery.
