Anyone had any luck generating a collection in LR from a filename list? I found this discussion on an Adobe forum from someone who sounds like he's trying to do the same thing I am.
Basicly, given a list of files, I want to quicky populate a collection in LR of those files, rather than searching for and adding each image to a collection one at a time. The work-around solution provided in the discussion above is to invoke LR from the command line with the files as arguments, which will invoke LR's import -- when LR sees the files are already in the DB, it will display a warning and allow you to find the files in the folder view (where you could assumably then select them all and add them to a collection).
Sounds like the old reaching around your...um...something to reach your something or something... I can't remember now. Anyway, it sounds like a convoluted kludge.
Anyone found a better way?
