Normally I do not vote in the challenges that I enter, so that I'm not tempted to vote low to improve my odds. But I did vote in this challenge and putting 25 entry's higher then mine at 9-7 and 25 more at the same level that I'm right now "6" and only 10 at a "5". So much for the top ten for myself... ;) I'm sure there are some sleepers with a solid 6.9 or higher right now.

Getting some good comments, particularly about one specific flaw that I sort of noticed, but ignored it to my peril.
I did my voting last night, and commented on most images. Apoligies to the few that I didn't have any inspiration to leave a comment on.
By the way, my comments don't always reflect the score. I comment mostly on technical issues, but score more on the overall image. I've really gone to town commenting on technical problems on images that I've scored 8 or 9 before. Even some 10 images have flaws. Then there's other images that don't have any specific outstanding faults, but just really aren't that good. Sometimes I can't put a finger on what to constructively comment on, so the occasional lower score doesn't get a comment. Just the way it is, baby. :)

Taking a toy car picture is like covering your entire face in Portrait challenge. When I vote portrait, I skipped my tradition of taking a couple of numbers off from my votes if I don't see the face whole or partial, because of the quality and work done with the picture. Although I am against it, still didn't chop my score.
I will try to vote cars, and toy cars could get much better points from me than some of the "real" ones I tell ya ;)
Besides the challenge itself (in general) I usually go with the photo itself, unless if something really offends me... and that time I totally give up voting for the whole challenge (usually) |
