I understand that the goal of this site is to get people out there taking photos and all, but I for one find the requirement for photos to be taken within such a small time frame to be very frustrating. I guess this is not open to debate really, but it helps just to vent a bit. I wonder how many people have slipped a photo into a competition that wasn't taken within the required dates? It's tempting, but I wouldn't feel right about it. |

It happens, but usually through ignorance of the rules rather than deliberate cheating (we hope).
If the photo is found to have been taken outside the allowable dates it will be disqualified. If the submission is deliberate (especially if repeated) your account could be suspended.
Wait until you try one of the 24-hour speed challenges! |

Steve, you're wrong. The goal of this site is to crush the weaker people around you, repeatedly, week after week, until they give up and slink off to do something that sucks, like yoga. In this way, you win as an artist and as a person. It is tempting, but the conswquences of submitting something illegal are dire. They have a death squad that wears motorcycle helmets that'll break into your humble abode after bedtime and beat you with monopods until you squeal like a girl if you submit that photo you took on your vacation to Aruba with Sandra 6 months ago. They know where you live, Steven, and yes, they will come. |

I think it's silly to post an illegal photo. The only point I see in doing so is to give exposure to the photo, which can be done simply by posting it into one of the forums.

That explains the bloody monopod I found my rottweiler gnawing on...

I used to never set my date in the camera itself so all my previous submissions were what you could call "illegal". I started a thread and admitted that my pix could've been DQ'd but nothing happened. I'm more aware of things like this since coming to DPC. |
