Seems there's a quirk with Photoshop CS3. In prior versions, I could create a guide in the center of my work space just by dragging the guide into the middle, and it would automatically "snap" to the middle spot.

With CS3, you create guides the same way and everything, but it doesn't snap to the center any longer. Yes, I have the "snap" option checked (VIEW -> SNAP), and all of the snap-to options are also checked. It just doesn't seem to do that anymore.

Am I missing something? I miss having that option to help center stuff on a work area.

In preferences set "grid" to "every 50%" and "subdivisions" to "1", then you don't even need the guideline; cntrl-comma will toggle grid on and off. You can set "snap to grid" if you want snap.

Incidentally, I have mine set to 33.33%, subdivisions 1 ΓΆ€” then cntrl-comma shows me rule of thirds.

Thanks!
