Hey Ingrid, sorry to hear you won't be able to make it but hopefully we'll catch you at another GTG sometime in the future! :o)
The pressures of yesterday have eased a little here so hopefully, depending on my health, I will still be making it on the 8th :o) With a bit of luck my wheelchair pusher ( Ecce Signum) will also manage to cram the GTG into his schedule too :o) I know we have both been looking forward to meeting you all :o) |

Okay, at the moment it's Gloda+2, with a lot of maybes. We'll probably arrive around 9am and walk around a bit on our own and meet you guys for lunch? |

Whats everyone bringing kit wise? I'm still undecided and want to be reasonably light and thinking of a few candids then some WA shots when the light goes down. Everyone bringing tri/monopods? |

I'll bring the 17-55, and 580EX, not sure about the 70-200. My tripod legs only weigh 1.6kg, but then the head also weighs 1.5kg :/ But I'll need something to take night shots with. Donno if the monopod is going to be that great for those. Maybe I'll get a Gorillapod by then, that'd be useful. |

I should be brining the lot, Tripod, 550Ex, 70-200 f2.8, 17-40 f4 and maybe the 85 1.8.
Oh, and my camera.
However, if anyone has the standard Manfrotto attachment on their cameras you are always welcome to use my tripod if you like, save you carrying yours about. |

I should be getting my SLR zoom Gorrillapod for mounting on the wheelchair this week but have no idea whether it's going to be any good so I'll make sure I leave my tripod 'thingy' in my bag and I may well take you up on your offer Mark :o) |

Bah, eBay went crazy about the Gorillapods and the set that ended today sold for a total of £33 when you can get them new for £34 (which is still expensive). |

Hi all,
I've just joined dpchallenge in the last 10 minutes so I'm as new here as new can be. Been at pbase for a few years (id= tradescant).
I'm based in Newcastle but often work in London. If my job has me down there that weekend I'd love to join you - would that be okay? Alas I'll not know unti later this week what my diary and travel arrangements are so can't give a definite 'I'll be there'. |

What are we planning on doing?!
Taking a leisurely stroll along the southbank up to the London Eye. Refreshment breaks will be made along the way (anyone know a good pub?). There will be time for anyone wishing to go on the London Eye, after that? Well, we'll see how things go :o)

Due to a family emergency I will not be able to make the GTG on Saturday, which is not what I thought I would be saying up to an hour ago. I am sorry that I cannot make it as I was looking forward to meeting y'all but such is life, I guess.
Have fun, guys! |
