I haven't been very active here lately only because I have been pursuing my EMT certificate, and studying has taken up a lot of my free time. Well, the course (taught at the college) is almost over. We took our final exam and afterwards received our course grade. I scored the highest with a 93% !! Yipee. Now all that is left is the State written exam on the 12th, and the Practicals (skills test) on the 15th. Wish me luck.
I hope to be more active here again once the Practicals are over. |

Oh - and one other thing with my EMT stuff. I have been a driver for the ambulance most of this year. We had a call a couple weeks ago, that I was on. It was a Code call, meaning the patient was in full code - no one on scene was doing CPR before we arrived. Since I am CPR certified, I assisted in both compressions and ventilations. After 30 minutes of CPR, we got a pulse back. So last night at the EMT meeting, me and the rest of the crew that day received special CPR save pins. They joked that I was the first person in our department to get a save pin before getting the EMT certificate.
Sadly the lady passed away a day later, but due to our resuscitating her, they were able to donate her organs.
