I was pretty pissed when I picked up my prints from COSTCO and saw all my square crops were zoomed to fill the 4x6 stock.
I even called before pressing submit to ask if they would zoom or print as is - no resize.
So, what are some print services out there that have a 'no resize' option that is cheap for proofing?
thanks! |

You can get them to not resize the image if you upload the images through the in-store kiosks and talk to the folks at the counter, but it's harder when you upload the pictures over the internet.
I take care of the problem by adding 2" of blank canvas -- actually, I fill the space with miniature images. If you do this for an 8x10 -- which they actually print on 8x12 paper -- you get some "wallet prints" at no additional charge. The prints have to be hand-trimmed anyway, I figure better to use the space. Example:

That is a good idea but also a PITA if you are just proofing and don't want to take the time on each one.
Maybe I can batch something in Lightroom when exporting the jpegs....?
