Just wanted to say goodbye to one of my favorite subjects, who very patiently posed for me and I considered a bit of a buddy. A tribute to "Wink," my favorite owl, who died last week :-(

Catherine - So sorry to hear this. My favorite snowy owl up at the Vermont Raptor Center passed away earlier this summer - and my whole family was very sad. It sure is a bummer when these awesome birds pass.

I don't have an owl picture to post - not sure I've ever even shot an owl yet - but I am very sorry to hear about your dear one-eyed guy.

I'm loving seeing all these owl pictures. Let's turn this into a "Tribute to Owls in General" thread.
