I just wanted to share the results of the National Geographic International Photo Contest that was held online. Four winners were chosen from the 148,203 images submitted.

While browsing through the entries, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that one of my photos was chosen as an honorable mention (2nd last photo in the Landscape Gallery). Some of you may recognize it, as it is an alternate of a shot I entered in a previous challenge.

I just wanted to share my excitement with everyone. :D

Gosh, how odd that they didn't bother to contact those receiving honourable mentions to let them know!

WELL DONE INDEED!

Is it hte Blackpool shot? Fabulous!

A BIG congrats to you on your honorable mention. Yes, I remember the version of your photo on DPC.

When I see contests like these I can't help but wonder how these photos would do on DPC. For example, how many "DNMCs" do you think the winning landscape photo would get? :-)

Yes, I know what you mean. I was surprised with the winner for the landscape category.

Here is the photo I submitted for the contest.
