Are there any (free) online guides/tutorials out there that walk you through how and where to hold reflectors with example pics of what the results are for each different holding position? I don't have any experience whatsoever with them and was hoping some one could help me out please?

Many thanks in advance!!

I would just try it and see what happens.

I don't use them often, but when I do, I just use it to fill in shadows. Especially outside with something that's back lit. Since it's just me taking pictures, I have to have my camera on a tripod so I can move the reflector.

The only image I have here is from the Ground up challenge:

I used a reflector to fill in the shadows on the status' face. It was bright sunny day and the shadow was too dark.

I've see people use in the same way with people to get light in the eyes or face.

Here's another thread on reflectors. I found that car reflectors work pretty well and are only $10 for 2 of them.
