New type of photo for me, so I'm looking for 2nd, 3rd and etc. opinions.
I like this one:
I also played with other crops/processing of it:
And a couple of other poses (with less editing time since I didn't like them as much):
What says the collective wisdom of DPC?

I left a comment on the first one.
One idea for you to try which I think will "punch up" the images a bit with almost no effort: Bring the image into Photoshop, go to the USM dialog and put in values such as 10%, 60 pixels and 0 threshold. Apply it and see what you think. I think along the bottom row, doing this will help out a lot.
Also, for inspiration, check out lovethelight's headshot portfolio.

Thanks; that gives me some more ideas. For this go-round we will have to use something I already shot because my model headed back to school, but re-processing is always an option. Very glad to have shot in RAW so I have some room to play. |

Try running a simple black to white gradient mask on the whole image just to fill in the shadows and boost the highlights a bit.
The image as it appears online loses some contrast as opposed to when I opened it in Photoshop, so your monitor settings may have it appear different from one monitor another and from monitor to paper. |
