New type of photo for me, so I'm looking for 2nd, 3rd and etc. opinions.

I like this one:

I also played with other crops/processing of it:

And a couple of other poses (with less editing time since I didn't like them as much):

What says the collective wisdom of DPC?

I left a comment on the first one.

One idea for you to try which I think will "punch up" the images a bit with almost no effort: Bring the image into Photoshop, go to the USM dialog and put in values such as 10%, 60 pixels and 0 threshold. Apply it and see what you think. I think along the bottom row, doing this will help out a lot.

Also, for inspiration, check out lovethelight's headshot portfolio.

Thanks; that gives me some more ideas. For this go-round we will have to use something I already shot because my model headed back to school, but re-processing is always an option. Very glad to have shot in RAW so I have some room to play.

Try running a simple black to white gradient mask on the whole image just to fill in the shadows and boost the highlights a bit.

The image as it appears online loses some contrast as opposed to when I opened it in Photoshop, so your monitor settings may have it appear different from one monitor another and from monitor to paper.

Bump for the crowd waiting for rollover who need something constructive to do for the next few minutes ;-)
